Material & Craft
Material, light, and placement.
Hand-poured glass, polished clear, with cobalt blue and violet submerged deep at the core rather than painted on the surface — the submerged-colour (sommerso) casing that gives the piece its weight and depth.
Daylight passes through the cased colour and pools on the surface beneath, so the cobalt reads brighter near a window and deeper in lamplight, and the piece never looks quite the same twice.
Solid enough to stand alone on a console, shelf, or side table, and ready for a few stems when the moment calls for them. It reads as a decorative object first and a vase second.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and keep the glass free of dust and harsh abrasives so the submerged colour stays luminous and the surface stays clear.
